Karen Quintos is senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Dell. She is responsible for the company’s global brand, communications and corporate responsibility strategies, sales enablement, and next-gen marketing insights and talent development. 

Since assuming the role in 2010, Karen has led a successful evolution of Dell’s brand from PCs to global enterprise solutions leader. She is best described as a customer advocate, modern marketing evangelist, and champion of women in business and technology.   

Previously at Dell, Karen served as vice president of Public Sector Marketing and North America Commercial. She also held various executive roles in services, support and supply-chain management. 

Karen joined Dell in 2000 from Citigroup, where she was vice president of Global Operations and Technology. She also spent 12 years with Merck & Co. in key marketing, operations and supply chain leadership positions.

She earned a master’s degree in marketing and international business from New York University and a bachelor of science in supply chain management from The Pennsylvania State University. 

Karen is on the board of Lennox International and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and is founder and executive sponsor of Wise, Dell’s largest employee resource group dedicated to the advancement of women. She is also on the board of Penn State’s Smeal College of Business and a 2014 recipient of the university’s highest honor – the Distinguished Alumni Award. 

Karen is considered one of the most influential CMOs in the world according to Forbes, and she was named ‘Mother of the Year’ by Working Mother magazine in 2012. 

She resides in Austin, Texas, with her husband and three children.
