FoRMER CEO, Malaysia Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC)

Cheryl is the former CEO of the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), which is established to develop the social entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem in Malaysia, and also within ASEAN. MaGIC focuses on three core activities for entrepreneurs: educate, expose and accelerate. Its core program, the MaGIC Accelerator Program (MAP), the largest and most robust accelerator in Asia.

Cheryl received two full scholarships for both her Bachelors and Masters Degree in engineering at Cornell University. Earlier in her career, Cheryl was a management consultant in New York before co-founding CityPockets, a digital wallet and secondary marketplace for daily deals, and later Reclip.It, a personalized shopping list application, that was acquired by Walmart Labs in 2013. Reclip.It was selected as "Best of the Web 2012" by Instyle Magazine and received funding from prominent investors in Silicon Valley & New York.

Cheryl was named one of four “LinkedIn Influencers” in SEA, “Top 40 Under 40 by Prestige Magazine” and voted the “Top 10 Most Influential Person in Malaysia.” Previously, she was “Top 44 Female Founders Every Entrepreneur Should Know” by Mashable, “Top 10 Women in Digital” by L'Oreal, and was selected as one of 10 Global Women Ambassadors to hike Mt Kilimanjaro.
