Addai, Emmanuel Owusu
Chief Technology Officer, Farmerline LTD

I am co-founder of Farmerline, a company that provides improved information access and communication pathways for smallholder farmers and agricultural stakeholders.
As a software developer, I have thought through several problems and made choices on workable solutions by leveraging my past experiences in building location-based/GIS and GPS applications, SMS and voice applications, for the agricultural ecosystem in Ghana and beyond.
As Farmerline's Co-Founder and CTO, I head the Tech Team and the development of customer-responsive applications that meet the needs and expectations of both users and beneficiaries.
Previously, I served as a Field Surveyor, GIS Developer and Consultant on multiple major national projects, including the Presidential Special Initiative (PSI) on Oil-Palm Plantation and Setting-out of the Affordable Housing Project in Ghana. I have also founded and worked within several technology start-ups in Ghana including iCottage Networks, a company I founded in the final year of my postgraduate studies.

I received a BSc and MSc degrees in Geomatic Engineering, both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. I am a 2014 Echoing Green Global Fellow and have over 7 year experience in mobile and web technologies.
