Monica Garry, Monica is a senior Advisor to the Aspen Institute Alliance for Artisan Enterprise.  
The mission of the Alliance is to support the power and potential of the artisan sector to create jobs, increase incomes, enhance cultural heritage and promote development that respects the uniqueness of people and place.  The Alliance is a collaborative effort of artisan businesses, artisan support organizations, corporations, foundations, government and multilateral agencies, and individuals working to support the full potential of artisan enterprise around the world.

Monica is also the founder and Creative Director of Noble Fibre International/Fibre Tibet collection, a social benefit corporation which provides income generation opportunities for Tibetan nomads and Tibetan, Nepali and Newari weavers and Indian artisans. Fibre Tibet is sold in galleries and boutiques in Europe and the US and through collaborations with DOSA, J. Crew, One King’s Lane and ABC Carpet and Home. 

Monica Garry founded and led The Bridge Fund of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors from 1996-2015. TBF is a non profit that supports development, cultural sustainability, education, healthcare and social enterprise in Tibetan regions of China, Nepal and Myanmar.  In this capacity she built partnerships with UNESCO, The Smithsonian, Aspen Institute, World Wildlife Fund  and donor collaborations with USAID, Government of Norway, The Government of France, The Government of The Netherlands, The European Union and Foundations and Corporations. 
 
Monica attended the School for International Training’s in Kathmandu, Nepal in 1998, graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts with honors in history and Asian studies in 1989 and received a joint MBA degree with honors from the London School of Economics (LSE) and HEC-Paris in 2010.
