Loretta McCarthy is Managing Partner of Golden Seeds, an investor consortium that invests in early-stage, women-led companies in the US. Since 2005, Golden Seeds has invested $85 million in over 100 companies. Ms. McCarthy manages its nationwide network of nearly 300 investors. She is co-manager of Golden Seeds International, which assists in the development of angel networks throughout the world. She is a frequent speaker and passionate advocate for early stage investing, women entrepreneurs and gender diversity. Previously, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at OppenheimerFunds and was an executive at American Express where she managed the American Express Card activities in many industries in the US. She has extensive corporate and non-profit board experience. She lives in New York City.
