Daniel Grossman, MD is Senior Director, Global Health at Medtronic plc. He leads Medtronic’s effort to launch businesses that transform healthcare for underserved patients in emerging markets by bringing locally-appropriate services, solutions, and products to market. Daniel also advises on the development of healthcare ecosystems in emerging markets and on business development, strategy, and the changing environment of healthcare delivery in the U.S. and internationally. 

Daniel joined Medtronic from Stanford University, where he was a faculty member in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the School of Medicine and an attending physician in the Emergency Department, and where he also completed residency training and fellowship in International Emergency Medicine. Daniel currently maintains his clinical practice in Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

 

Daniel received his B.A. from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He participated in the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he received his M.D. from the College of Medicine and M.B.A. from the College of Business.
