Stephanie Hanson is Senior Vice President of Policy and Partnerships at One Acre Fund, a social enterprise that provides financing and training to over 400,000 smallholder farmers in six countries in Africa. She joined the organization in 2009, and is currently focused on how One Acre Fund can leverage its operating model to pursue alternative pathways to scale, such as growing the overall sector of agriculture microfinance for smallholder farmers (“farm finance”), or applying One Acre Fund’s field learnings to influence the global policy community. She manages the organization’s government relations/policy, communications, and microfinance partnerships departments. She is also a certified leadership coach who provides internal coaching to high-potential young leaders at One Acre Fund.

From 2006-2009, she covered economic and political developments in Africa and Latin America for CFR.org, the website of the Council on Foreign Relations.
