MEDIA NOTE: Spark the Fire – Final Pitch Competition

Tomorrow at 5:00 PM PT, the Spark the Fire Pitch Competition will take place during GES+, a special day-long program focused on top global youth and women entrepreneurs at the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit, hosted at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
Organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network<http://wearegen.co/>, Spark the Fire is designed to help emerging entrepreneurs from around the world seek investment and start and scale their venture. Six distinguished finalists from around the world will present a three-minute pitch followed by a four-minute Q&A from a panel of expert judges.
Each finalist will compete for cash prizes totaling $65,000 from the World Bank, Omidyar Network, and Microsoft. The top three finalists will also receive a Dell XPS13 laptop, a Shinola watch, and invaluable mentorship hours with seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts. In addition, all six finalists will receive Airbnb vouchers to help them make the most of their business travel.
Spark the Fire judges include Dell’s Entrepreneur in Residence Elizabeth Gore, Microsoft’s Corporate Affairs Representative Lisa Nelson, Google’s Women in Technology Advocate Natalie Villalobos, and Omidyar Network’s Venture Partner Rob Veres.
Names and biographies of the six finalists will be announced at 5:00 PM PT on the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit Facebook page and through the official GES Medium Publication under Summit News & Highlights.
