Esther Karwera is a 24 year old Female Ugandan software developer, energetic entrepreneur and co-founder of AKORION Company limited an ICT company whose goal is improve the livelihood of over 400,000 smallholder farmer, reduce costs of transaction and increase efficiency along the agricultural value chain in Uganda.
She is also the co-founder of webfuse a technology firm involved in providing ICT solutions and software development.
In partnership with another female entrepreneur, Esther initiated STEM Uganda an inaugural Girls camp that targets girls between the age of 15-18 years in the promotion of ICT, Entrepreneurship, healthy life choices and leadership among girls. From the first camp held a group of young girls came up with an application EZY-TRANS which assists farmers in Uganda to transport there goods easily.
Ms. Esther Karwera is currently the Chief Business Development Officer with AKORION and has a vision of creating jobs for over 10,000 youths in the agriculture value chain in Uganda
